Since 1964, a Houston family
Frank Demeris brought his family from Greece to Houston in 1947 and opened the G and N Cafe in 1952. In 1964 his sons Gus and Jimmy opened the first Demeris Bar-B-Q on Shepherd, where it still serves today.
Today, the second generation of the Demeris family runs our two restaurants and has significantly expanded Demeris Catering, bringing the family's food and hospitality to weddings, offices and celebrations across Greater Houston.
We promise to treat your family as we would our own, and we invite you to experience our special brand of hospitality at our restaurants, in your home, or at the location of your next special event.
